Every now and then when I get a question about how to do different things in WordPress, I get after explaining the answer – that I do not have that panel. And of course, this makes it difficult to change the settings. Sometimes these conversations get a bit confusing for both me and the customer. Because I explain where to click but the customer does not have that panel đ
Lost panels
How the problem arises with lost parts (panels) in WordPress is perhaps not so interesting, but I think it is either because they are removed by mistake or that the provider of the site, clicked away some panels to make it easier (since they are not used anyway). But time passes and new needs arise, so how to bring back panels that are not displayed?
Activate panels
Panel settings are available in each section of the admin page of your WordPress installation but the content varies with where in the admin section you are. You can find it at the top of the screen (see image below). In the image I click in/out categories.
For a cleaner and simpler interface, you can deselect the parts you do not use. For example, if you don’t use tags, it might be a good idea not to show the panel on the screen so you can find the parts you actually use more quickly.
