This is perhaps a rather drastic statement, but just maybe. We rarely delete information and therefore there is more current data than current on the internet today.
I thought about this when I fell ill with covid last week. Can you guess how much outdated information there is if you search on covid. That’s right, it feels endless. A lot of it is just that someone has commented on or copied someone else’s text.
Then I really wanted internet 2.0. A no nonsense internet that only gave me an answer to a single question, Are there any rules I should follow right now in October 2023. Not even FHM or 1177 were particularly clear in their message.
Now, of course, this problem is to some extent due to Google and its inability to separate important information from nonsense. But there is a problem.
I usually think it’s not a big deal if you don’t clean out old articles but during those searches I was losing patience with all the thinkers on the web.
I got sick years after everyone else and this has been worse than I thought. After several days of high fever, I am quite tired. But now I feel like I’m on my way back. And from what I understand, the advice is mostly to stay at home until you feel healthy
So I guess I’ll do that!
Maybe I’ll take a day and clean up outdated articles on my web pages. Because I also have them ![]()
