Yes, because on the web, most people react by thinking that an underlined word is also a link, so you are &#8220;fooling&#8221; your readers. Unfortunately, some people will click on the underlined word and get annoyed when it is not a link.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>If you want to highlight something online, use either italics or bold text.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>Recently there is a tendency to dislike underlining of links, unfortunately.  <br\/><\/p>\n\n<p>Your task when writing online is to make it easier for visitors to find your website. If you want to highlight links with a different color or bold text, be consistent and use it everywhere and only for links.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Whatever your own aesthetic sense, it is the user experience that matters most!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><em>Function is always more important than design<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Underlining confuses the visitor Why?
